Bio
Coming from an immigrant background, Trisha rooted her work with cultural humility in mind, which is the ongoing learning, acknowledgment, and honoring of a community’s beliefs and values when approaching community engagement and coalition building.
Trisha currently works at the National Farm to School Network where she focuses on program development and evaluation of farm to school strategies and network building across the country. Her passion for working in local food systems began as a nutrition educator at the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-ED) initiative. Trisha is a systems thinker and eager to address health challenges in our food systems by centering the people as well as uplifting the power of collaboration when it comes to implementing sustainable systems changes. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her husband, cooking and experiencing new foods, and practicing yoga.
